Access and subscriptions

What is free and what is paid?

Everything covering cryptocurrency is free, for every registered user: entry level, protection, objective, position size, the step-by-step protection updates, notifications and the full published record. There is no trial period and nothing expires.

Stocks, indices, commodities, foreign exchange and ETFs require the *Ticks — All Markets* subscription: USD 89.99 per month, or USD 799.99 per year.

How do I subscribe?

Open a locked market and tap the padlock. The standard Apple purchase sheet appears. Payment is handled entirely by Apple.

How do I cancel?

Cancellation goes through Apple, not through us. On your iPhone or iPad:

1. Open Settings

2. Tap your name at the top

3. Tap Subscriptions

4. Select Ticks

5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, otherwise the next period is charged. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

I cancelled but I was charged anyway

Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before renewal. If you cancelled inside that window, the charge goes through and the subscription ends at the close of that period.

For a refund, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Refunds for App Store purchases are decided by Apple. We have no authority to grant one.

I changed phone and my subscription is gone

Sign in with the same Ticks account, then open Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.

Can I switch from monthly to yearly?

Yes, at any time, from your Apple subscription settings. Apple applies a prorated credit for the unused part of your current period.

Does my subscription work on other devices?

Yes. Sign in with the same Ticks account on any device where Ticks is available, and your access follows for as long as the subscription is active.

Your account

Do I need an account for the free content?

Yes. Ticks keeps track of the situations you follow, informs you as each one develops, and synchronises that state across your devices. None of it works without an account.

I can't sign in

Use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. If you originally signed up with Apple or Google, use the same button rather than an email and password — the two are separate accounts.

I signed in with Apple and I'm not receiving emails

If you chose to hide your email address, Apple forwards our messages through a relay address. Check that forwarding is still enabled in Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → Ticks.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, Settings → Account → Delete account. No request to us is needed. Deletion is permanent and takes effect within 30 days.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it separately in your Apple settings, otherwise it keeps renewing.

Using the app

What do Start, Target, SL and Size mean?

Start is the entry level. Target is the objective. SL is the protective stop. Size is an indicative position size, expressed as a percentage of the net liquidity figure you enter yourself.

Why does the protection level move?

As a situation develops, the protective level is raised step by step, and each level holds. Exposure narrows while the situation is still open rather than everything resting on the outcome. It is often called a ratchet, and watching it happen is a large part of what Ticks is for.

I'm not getting notifications

Check that notifications are enabled for Ticks in Settings → Notifications → Ticks, and inside the app under Settings. Also check that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not filtering them.

Can Ticks place my orders?

No. Ticks displays and explains. It executes no order, connects to no trading account and holds no funds. There is no mechanism anywhere in the app by which a transaction could be initiated.

Are the published figures real?

They are theoretical results of closed situations, calculated on the levels displayed, without slippage, spread, commission or financing cost. Real results will differ. Situations that did not work are published alongside those that did.
